About us
We knew from the very beginning that we needed to build something together. When you get that indescribable feeling, that with this person, you have something to do in life. When you know how the other feels or thinks without saying a word. When you share the same opinions on things that matter. It’s so rare! You know what we are talking about, right?
Ildikó has this brilliant knowledge of the craftsmanship of knitwear. For her, creating beauty with a perfectionist’s eye for detail is a natural instinct. She can not sleep well if a sweater is not folded the right way or if we did not find the right knitting pattern for your hat. She spots every little mistake and is adorably shy pointing them out. Her love for teaching and learning is unstoppable, picking up new knowledge on every corner. Her lovable obsessions include the love of the color blue and number 8. She makes sure that all our garments will be there for you for many years, to be worn by generations to come.
Eszter grew up next to a mum who was leading a successful children clothing brand in the 90s in Hungary. Always by her side, she played the role of a model before new items went into production and spent her weekends at the market, the main space for shopping before malls took over. Mum’s ability to juggle between her family of two kids with her husband, and leading a business, was a source of admiration and a skillset to be inherited and taken further, proven by her management skills paired with an energetic ‘solving every problem in a minute’ attitude. She loves art, has a keen eye for photography, and shows traces of inheritance from her sculptor father as well. She paves the way of BOO Studio.
We share the same nostalgic sentiments for their childhood, embracing how memories come forward with time, as we are getting older. All of our garments are pieces of a story - the indescribable caring of parents and grandparents, which we were lucky enough to experience. Their unconditional love of their tiny ones no matter what. And how this caring is passed along to bloom in a child.
We’d like to take care of you and your loved ones by choosing the right materials, the softest yarns and by creating practical pieces.
BOO Studio is the mutual child of Ildikó Kele and Eszter Lebó.
Looking after you.
